Week 6 / Term 2 / Year 4
First of all, this week we were lucky the flood water didn’t prevent us from getting to Hogacre Common. Thanks to everyone for being patient whilst we checked. And what a lucky thing we did get there! We had such a great day. First of all we’ve discovered a new great game to add to our list of Great Games. It makes for great photos too!
Lots of great outside work today. We make sure we do some outside work each week to keep our outside space ticking over during these months of bad weather.
Great project time. Our Hogwash Times reporters conducted their first interviews, a new fidget toy was made and developed and the kitchen was filled with fresh pasta.
Our real star activity was our version of the Dragon’s Den. Our peers rose to the challenge of coming up with an idea for a food truck, designing the truck and doing all the basics of a business plan including working out all the maths for employing people, buying equipment, working out profit margins and how much investment they needed. THEN, after they had done all that amazing work, they did an AMAZING job of presenting their idea and trying to convince the Dragon’s to invest. Well done peers, you really excelled yourselves today!!
